Akkomplice has appointed Lee Spencer as creative director.
Spencer joins the agency from The Royals where he spent the last six years, most recently as senior creative.
His appointment comes amid Akkomplice’s move to new offices in South Melbourne after a year of business growth and new hires.
“It’s been a big year at Akkomplice. We’ve already added five female powerhouse talents to our team and we’re capping off the year with the brilliant Lee Spencer joining the crew as Creative Director,” says Akkomplice executive creative director Sara Oteri.
Spencer has worked on clients including Jetstar, KFC, Deakin University, NAB, Mercedes-Benz and Optus.
“We’re always on the hunt for fresh talent that do more than just ads, as they make for more interesting individuals and bring great new perspectives and approaches to our client’s work,” says Akkomplice founder Kenny Hill.
Outside the ad world, Spencer has written and performed live storytelling, directed a short film, published his own zines, and made his own music history and travel podcasts. He has also presented and produced radio shows for SYN, interviewed and reviewed bands for Beat Magazine as well as The Music.
“Akkomplice punches well above its weight with work that’s bold and beautiful,” Spencer says.
